Intermediary AS

Register a company in Norway for foreign businesses

Intermediary AS is a private Norwegian advisor that helps foreign owners set up a NUF (Norwegian branch of a foreign company), AS (Norwegian limited company), VAT registration and VOEC. Our platform automates the document flow — typical setup in 5–10 business days.

How the process works

  1. Scoping (day 0): Quick mapping — NUF, AS, VAT representative or VOEC?
  2. Documents (day 1–2): We send pre-filled incorporation and power-of-attorney documents for digital signature.
  3. Submission (day 2–3): The coordinated registration form goes to Brønnøysund. The VAT application goes to the Tax Administration in parallel.
  4. Org. number + bank (day 5–10): Norwegian organisation number is issued. We help with bank account, D-number and Altinn access.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to register a NUF or AS?

Brønnøysund charges a fixed government fee for registration. Our advisory and document handling fee is on top. Ask for a quote — we work on fixed pricing.

Do I need a Norwegian board member?

A NUF requires a Norwegian business address but not necessarily a Norwegian board member. AS has residency requirements that can be met by EEA residents or via dispensation. We advise on both routes.

Can the entire process be handled remotely?

Yes. The full process runs digitally with BankID/eIDAS signing, or via power of attorney plus notarised passport for foreign owners without BankID.

Is VOEC enough for my online store?

VOEC covers B2C goods < NOK 3,000 and digital services. Once you sell B2B, hold inventory in Norway, or sell items > NOK 3,000, you need standard VAT registration — typically via a NUF or VAT representative.
